“Tweet without “with”…”
I pointed out in tip six that we can eliminate tons of space wasting using “&” and “\”. Well, here’s another tip along the same vein: “with”- another commonly used word, eats up four characters every Tweet… yet why suffer through such waste when a solution exists?
Let’s examine some samples:
We can see a typical Tweet here- nothing that looks too bad, but based on the tips and tricks we’ve learned to this point, we can not only fix the fact we’re over the limit -4, but also clean up the readability a touch.
See how easy it is to clear up room using “w/” instead of “with”? When combined with the other tips and tricks here, it all adds up to tons more room- we’re now 26 characters free to go.
Tip 8 already? I’m betting it’s pure gold…
